Work in progress project  (Mei 2024)

In this project I cooperate with  a group of 3 to make a music video on an existing piece of music of the South African artist Nobuhle Ashanti, called "Choices". The music is written to describe the feeling of being drunk, and the after effects in the morning after, connected with shame of having drunk to much.

In this project I am the Art Director, and I am making the background art and making the world and Style of the music Video.

A few of my Storyboard sketches before i had to stop half way trhough the project for my hand  injury.

The backgrounds were designed with colour and Jazz - matching feeling of drunkenness, which is part of the music video in mind. After some feedback I added more depth and more simplicity to the backgrounds which increased the  the clarity and workflow.

At the end we wherent able to mix in 3d, other stopmotion effect or motion capture. maily because things didnt go as planned with that part of the production. But we managed to switch to make everything with 2d animation, and make a whole product! in the end i took up a bigger roll in getting problems solved as art director and was able to contribute with some animation in the last few days aswel! even the backgrounds wich i thought would be challange turned out to be somthing i enjoyed makking aswel!
